How to Get Started with ECS Solutions

Welcome to ECS

ECS designs, builds and commissions electrical and control systems across Saudi Arabia, from low and medium voltage switchgear to PLC and SCADA automation. If you are starting a project with us, this is the shape of the process and what is expected from each side.

Step 1: Initial contact

Get in touch through the contact page with an outline of what you need: the site, the process, the approximate load and the timescale. You do not need a finished specification at this stage. A clear description of the problem is enough to start.

Step 2: Site assessment

An ECS engineer visits the facility to see the existing installation, confirm the supply arrangement and understand the operating constraints. This visit is where most of the real requirements surface, particularly the ones that never make it into a written brief.

Step 3: Design and proposal

You receive a technical proposal with single line diagrams, panel schedules, a compliance statement against the applicable standards, and a priced scope. Review it with your operations team as well as your engineers, since the operating detail is easiest to change at this point.

Step 4: Manufacturing and factory testing

Panels are built and routine tested in the ECS facility. You are welcome to attend the factory acceptance test, and doing so is worth the time. Faults found on the factory floor cost a fraction of the same fault found on site.

Step 5: Installation and commissioning

Certified technicians install, terminate and commission the system, then hand over test records, as built drawings and the configuration backup. Operator and maintenance training is arranged as part of handover.

What to prepare

• Single line diagram of the existing installation, if there is one.
• Load schedule or a list of the equipment to be fed.
• Utility supply details, including the declared fault level.
• Any site standard or client specification you require compliance with.
