Warranty Coverage
ECS equipment carries a manufacturing warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. The sections below describe the standard position. Your contract governs where it differs, so check the terms issued with your order before relying on any figure here.
Standard coverage
- Assembled panels and enclosures: covered against manufacturing defects from the date of delivery.
- Bought in components: carry the original manufacturer warranty, which ECS administers on your behalf.
- Installation and commissioning workmanship: covered where ECS performed the work.
What is not covered
- Damage from supply conditions outside the equipment rating, including sustained overvoltage and fault levels above the declared figure.
- Ingress of water, dust or corrosive atmosphere where the enclosure rating was specified for a different environment.
- Modification, rewiring or component substitution carried out without ECS approval.
- Consumable items such as lamps, filters and batteries.
- Damage traceable to maintenance not being carried out, which is why the maintenance records matter.
Making a claim
- Record the fault: what failed, when, and what the system was doing at the time.
- Gather the panel serial number, the project reference and any relevant event or alarm log.
- Raise the claim through the contact page, attaching the above.
- Preserve the failed component. Assessment usually requires physical inspection, and discarding it can end a claim.
Extended cover
Extended warranty and scheduled service agreements are available for most product lines and are normally arranged at the time of order. Ask your ECS representative for the options that apply to your equipment.
